What has a swimming pool maintenance company got to do with a zoo? The answer lies with sea lions and penguins. Their natural habitat is water which must be clean and well maintained. BRM Poolcare were asked by Blackpool Zoo to help with cleaning the floor of the sea lion pool. Various methods had been used in the past, but none have been as successful as the latest attempt. We trialed a portable filter and pump which could be moved along the edges of the pool to enable the sea lion staff to vacuum the pool effectively and efficiently.
